Voicemail Service
The caller can also be forwarded to the voicemail box upon receipt of a call eliminating the need for live secretarial answering, but still having the benefit of that call being answered in the Bahamas. If you choose our voice mail service, you will be notified of each call. You can be notified through your cell phone, your pager, fax or we will forward them as wav. files and email them to you. Your company will be assigned its' own private unique Nassau, Bahamas business telephone number which is answered by a pre-recorded personalized message, giving the caller a choice of up to three separate company extensions or options to choose.

To record your greeting, dial your personal Nassau number assigned to your company and then press the asterisk (*) on your keypad during the voice prompt. When prompted, enter your account PIN. Then press the one key or say "one" and follow the instructions. We also have Professional Island telephone secretaries, which can be employed to record your personal greeting.
- What is the limit on the length of my personalized voicemail greeting?
Greetings are limited to sixty seconds. If in the event that a client needs additional time then provisions can be established for extended time.
- What software can I utilize for listening to my messages?
Voice messages are sent as .wav (wave) files. You must have a sound card and speakers to listen to your voice messages. If you do not have a player, you can download one for Windows free from http://www.winamp.com
- What is the limit on the length of the voice message senders may leave?
The system is design to accept a message up to three (3) minutes in length. This can be changed if the client desires.
- Why am I sometimes unable to receive voice messages sent to me on my email account?
Most free email sites limit the amount of disk space available to you. Furthermore, if you are at work or using a ISP, the system administrator may limit the maximum allowable size of your email box. Voice messages are generally larger then than fax messages and if you do not have enough disk space available on your email account, your voice mail message will most likely bounce back to our secured server. We suggest that you always verify with the company providing your email service to determine the amount of disk space you have available versus the length and quantity of the messages that you intend to receive.
Note: For the clients whom are utilizing the encrypted email service provided by Bahamas Business Centre, Ltd. there will never be a problem unless your messages exceed thirty hours in total length prior to deleting or reviewing.
- Why do I sometimes receive blank voice messages?
As with regular phone numbers using voicemail service, there is a possibility of people accidentally calling your personal Bahamas business telephone number and not leaving a message. However, we have taken strides to prevent our users from receiving such unnecessary messages by implementing a procedure that filters out extreme short messages.
- How do I listen to my voicemails over the phone?
